So tired... Wow, what a weekend. Carol and I headed up to Ottawa on Friday, and got in pretty late. Highlight of the drive from Carol "One horsie, two horsie, three horsie... No wait, those are cows." City girl! Bad Nick, a guy she'd met close to the beginning of the year, picked us up with a few of his friends Waseem and something I couldn't understand. He's Bad Nick to differentiate him from Good Nick, her former boyfriend. Don't ask. The girl that was with them wanted to go to Gatineau, so we ended up at Le Fou Du Roi in the middle of nowhere. It was beyond incredibly packed, and way too many old men staring at my chest. Nick and everyone else was buying us drinks though so we were fine until someone taps me on the shoulder. Who should it be but my dear friend Yusuf. I kid you not. That's the one that was stalking me and proposed to me, and he is now in this tiny bar somewhere in Quebec. What are the odds? Things like this only happen to me. So he starts rambling off and I keep trying to get away but he won't leave me only. I seek shelter in the arms of Nick and Yusuf just glares and me all night long and tries to talk to me. We finally leave and head Le Bop for a while (sorry for calling you drunk, Linz!) and to Nick's place for a game of strip poker. I won! And most importantly, Nick lost. Haha! We headed home at about six, exhausted, and got up a few hours later to apartment hunt. We found one that we think we're going to take, it's a great location and really nice place. At night, we went to 311, the unofficial TKE house, to drink with the boys. Sully was in town and rejoicing to see me. We stayed for a while and convinced Derek and Jordan to come to OnTap with us. Had some fun there, Nick and Waseem came later, Carol picked up a local, and Sal came with Mike to see us. So Carol and I were juggling all night, and with the eight shots that I had in a row with Sal, plus all of the beers and coolers, we got wasted. Nick ushered us out at closing and the four of us headed back to our place. (Otherwise known as Kelly's place). Nick and I hooked up and if things go well, this could turn out great. He's like the French Vin Diesel with dimples. Yummy. He's supposed to come to Toronto next weekend, so we'll see. We all woke up really late in the afternoon and headed home, got in around seven. Good, good times. I think Carol and I living together next year is going to be a blast, and I'm so glad that we found someplace nice because I was starting to get worried. Oh, I'm employed now, so I have to work Monday-Friday. Ugh! Well, I'm going to pass out. I really cannot type for another second!
I'll Just Keep On Dreaming
"Come to the edge."
"We can't. We're afraid!"
"Come to the edge."
"We can't. We'll fall!"
"Come to the edge."
And they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.
