New job = Very promising.
Having to be able to recognize 30+ voices = Daunting.

I want a siren for my car...

In other huge news, I have a new job. I'm back with the RCMP, though in another unit. Sounds like a dream job, and it HAS to be more interesting than my last job where I sat and played Minesweeper and e-mailed Linz 1000 times a day. Pay is great, people are nice and I start Monday. It worked out well, because although I was unable to give two weeks notice at my old job, I managed to give it to Kelly who's very very happy.

So wish me luck on Monday!

Make a wish!

I can honestly say that that was one of the best birthdays I've had in a long time. I got up to Ottawa Thursday night and went straight to the Bulldog. Drinks courtesy of Alex, and then lo and behold, enter The Bachelor, Jesse Palmer and the NY Giants. Don't worry, I was more calm than when I met Matthew Perry. I proceeded to reach an amazing level of pollution, amazingly football players might have a higher tolerance than me.

Friday night, Jen, Sarah Blair and I headed to Suite 34 for a Bachelor event. Way too many girls, but interesting to watch. The Giants remembered me from the night before, which is frightening considering I didn't remember the night before. We stayed a long time then headed to Inferno, where all of the girls and some lovely boys were. Thank you to everyone who came out! Marion and I STILL haven't gotten really drunk together though, hopefully Canada Day will change that! We went home with some of the Sammies and had some pretty hilarious momo moments in the morning.

Saturday we all wanted to die, but I insisted that the bender continue. We headed to OnTap, where I believe it was only the guys and I drinking. Felt exTREMEly ill. Headed to the Sammie house again, passed out for a while on Katter and left. The highlight of that night was stoned Momo rambling about coiffes.

Sunday, though throughly exhausted, I tossed my carcass in the car and drove home. Went out for dinner that night since a lot of my family is up here. Monday was my actual birthday and we went out for lunch and dinner. Really really great times.

So here's to being 21.

So I stopped updating...

I go through these phases where I stop updating. Not because nothing is happpening in my life, quite the contrary. So much is happening that I don't want to bore you with every second of my life. Or sit on here and complain.

In good news, I'm heading up to Ottawa tonight after work. Going for Marion & Jenna's Birthday Bender 2004. It shall be a good time, I'm really excited!

Granny came up from Jamaica last night, it'll be awesome to have her around for a while.

Ok, next week, I promise updates.

*Groaaan*

Wow. I just ate 8 pieces of french toast. And I think that is the only thing I will accomplish today.

"I'll slap yer arse!"

Oof. Here's a re-cap of the last few days.

Spent the day Saturday over at Jeffy's with Linz and some boys. Tried to get a tan. No such luck. Headed home at night and was surprised to hear that Carol was back in town for one night. Got dressed and to Toronto in record time. We met up with Jen and Sarah and the two guys they were with. Tried Devil's Martini but they weren't letting anyone in. Can I mention, the bouncers there are gorgeous and were all wearing matching FCUK sweaters. After dragging Jen away from the bouncers, we ended up at Tonic. Though it as quite Asian, wasn't too too bad. Busy, and cheap for Toronto. After a few close encounters (Hair, the guys who wouldn't stop following us, and the horrible Irish dancer), we saught sanctuary in the arms of the nearest cute guys. Who turned out to be FOB Irish. Adorable! After Carol tried to convince them she was half-Irish (to no avail), we went back to their place for a bit to learn some more Irish slang. We absolutely adored the boys, Connor and Emmett, and have invited them up for birthday weekend in Ottawa, if they are so inclined.

I went home early Sunday morning and slept all afternoon. Got bored in the evening, so I headed up to Barrie with the girls (Kelly, Lisa and Danielle). Fun car ride, minus the flooding in the back. Stuck around with the guys at the house there for a while, and since Chris was having problems with his ID, we headed home.

Now, it's back to work this week. Honk.

... The weekend come.

I've got that not-so-good Black Eyed Peas song in my head, 'Weekend'. I am, truly, excited about it being the weekend. I was only supposed to work a half day yesterday since I had worked a 12-hour shift earlier in the week, and then I was going to party it up with Omar in the evening. That all came to an abrupt halt when my boss convinced me to work the rest of the day and my dad didn't look so well after he got out of the hospital. Linz and I went to pick up the new flatiron (a thing of beauty!) then went over to her place for a while so I could see the new puppy. Also brought the puppy home to dump on my dad in bed, he was overjoyed.

Today... Well, straightening my hair would be the obvious answer. Going to get some passport pics done and FINALLY get my phone switched to a local number. Apart from that, keeping dad entertained as he lies down in bed for 48 hours.

I'm actually quite excited about my birthday. This is new to me. Well, I'm usually excited about my birthday but the actual event turns out to be anti-climatic. This one does sound promising though.

Live without dead time.

To hell with work, to hell with boredom! Create and construct an eternal festival. Chop chop!
