The Perfect Man

The perfect man is gentle
Never cruel nor mean
He has a beautiful smile
And keeps his face so clean
The perfect man likes children
And will raise them by your side
He will be a good father
As well as a good husband to his bride
The perfect man loves cooking
Cleaning and vacuuming too
He'll do anything in his power
To convey his feelings of love on you
The perfect man is sweet
Writing poetry from your name
He's a best friend to your mother
And kisses away your pain
He never has made you cry
Or hurt you in any way
Oh, screw this stupid poem
The perfect man is gay

"I realized I missed you last night when my pillow wouldn't hug me back."

Well I'm 19 now, which is great fun (at least for Canadians!), my birthday was on Friday, the first day of summer. Also Prince Will's birthday, I hope he got my telepathic birthday striptease. (We are SO meant to be together!) I just got in the door from Beeton (spelling?!?), from Linz's boyfriend (Jeff)'s place. You can see cows from his backyard and there are sheep about five houses down, it's right in the middle of a friggin' cornfield. So, of course, I decided to be independant-navigating-Jenna and drove out there, courtesy of directions from Jeff. I'd been driving for over an hour, following his directions when I noticed that I was dangerously low on gas and about to hit a dirt road. I called Linz to ask her if I was indeed lost like I was beginning to suspect, and yes, I had been driving in circles for over half an hour. (I guess that explains why I saw a zillion "Welcome to Bradford" signs.) So Jeffy and Linz came to rescue me, turns out he added an extra light into his directions. So I spent most of the day over at Jeff's having fun and got myself a map to get home :) (I swear I'm not hopeless Linz!!!) I'm going out tonight with Tonia and Angelica from The Bay, should be fun apart from the fact that NO ONE HAS TURNED THE AIRCONDITIONING ON IN THE HOUSE AND THERE IS A HUMIDEX OF 39 DEGREES AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT JAMAICAN HAIR DOES IN HEAT AND HUMIDITY WELL I'LL SHOW YOU... *ahem*. I am going to fix my hair.

"Oh-WHY waste your time, you know you're gonna be mine!" Just got in the door from Montreal, well Ottawa technically. Had a fun weekend with my father, really schnazzy hotel and lots of weird people. I thought the weather would be half-decent, but au contraire mon frere, it rained ALL day yesterday and most of today. Apartment hunting was fun, a lot of dumps but I did find myself a gorgeous penthouse suite with pool and sauna. Went on a campus tour this morning with two GEEKS from Conneticut. Honestly, what kind of question is it to ask when talking about residences, "Do they have extra-long beds available?". What do you think buckeroo?!? After the tour, I drove to Ottawa to drop off some money at Carleton, my new home. Sitting there at the counter was the HOTTEST guy I'd seen all weekend. (Is it just me or are the folks in Montreal kinda, well, ugly? I didn't see a awesome guy the whole time I was there!) So Dimples himself showed us around the residences for a while, looks great. Now my father keeps going "That guy was really nice, eh?", "He has a good sense of humour", "Seems like an intelligent guy" and "He even dresses pretty good". So, end result of the weekend, I have finally found my University AND my future husband :)

Going on a road trip with Daddy :)

Wednesday, June 12, 2002

Eee! Having a good day :) Sometimes I feel like I have to constantly be reminding myself not to say or do anything stupid or unreasonable. Am I alone here? Might be going down to Montreal on Sunday to check out some apartments with Daddy... Though he's going in the hospital tomorrow, I'm not sure if he'll be up to it. Mads stole my cell phone!

P.S. I'm sitting here with Josh trying to figure out three words that best describe me for my Residence Application and he's here going, "Pretty... Gorgeous... Sexy... Fish Killer..."

Hmmm... Haven't done this for a while. Jamaica was nice, of course. It's hard not to enjoy yourself with palm trees. That's the problem with Canada, too many pine trees and not enough palm trees. Yesterday I spent the day with Mads and went... well, everywhere :) Always good fun, especially with the airconditioning that he invented! Today I spent the day with Josh, he's excited because I found him a Volcom belt that has a bottle opener on the buckle for him to take to college *rolling of the eyes*. I've been having a dilemna lately, the Carleton vs. McGill. I think it's going to have to be McGill. I just wish I could have somebody tell me that I've made the right decision!
